Recently we were requested by the European Union to be part of a task team appointed to assist in the development of a strategic plan for the Pan African University.
The EU is assisting the African Union in the establishment of the PAU and ensuring that the university remains sustainable in the long term – hence the need for a strategic plan.
The task team comprises three people – one from USA, one from France and myself. We were responsible for the financial elements of the strategic plan. The project ran from October 2017 to July 2018 requiring travel to the African Union in Ethiopia as well as visits to the PAU Institutes in Algeria, Kenya, Cameroon and Nigeria.
